What Is My Recovery Network?
My Recovery Network is a social network for people in recovery. Members have an opportunity to connect with other members in several ways:
- Through our online community
- Personal pages where members can share as much or as little as they like about themselves
- Forums
- Groups
- Blogs

Through member organized local events – we know that sometimes it's not what you do that makes it fun as much as it is who you share it with that makes it fun…of course, if you can do fun things with fun people in recovery, that's the icing on the cake!

Through national events where people from all over the country join in the fun -- vacations, fantasy camps, major concerts, professional sports events and more!
How many events do members have to participate in each month?
There is never any pressure to participate in any event. As a member you choose how many or few local and national events in which you want to participate and how often or seldom you engage via the online community.
Are all of your members in recovery?
Our members are in recovery or have a family member or loved one who is in recovery. As a result, the focus at our in person events is on having fun through whatever type of activity is going on in the company of other people in recovery. We believe that having fun is a critical part of a successful recovery program. Of course, we think having fun is a critical component of any successful life!
Are you anti-alcohol?
We are not opposed to the responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. At the same time, we recognize that 1 in every 4 families is impacted by substance abuse and we firmly believe that too often "fun" in our society is associated with drinking and drugging. Our mission is to provide an outlet to have fun for people who are in recovery. Whether their decision was made out of necessity or simply desire does not matter to us; the important thing is that those people have an alternative outlet for fun available to them.
Is My Recovery Network a dating service?
My Recovery Network is not a dating service by design. However, single people have the opportunity to meet lots of other people -- including other single people -- through our online groups and by participating in our local and national events.
Are you affiliated with or trying to compete with AA and/or other organized recovery programs?
My Recovery Network is neither affiliated with nor trying to compete with AA or any other program. For people who are active in AA and/or any other recovery program, we hope that they will find My Recovery Network a complement to what they are already doing. For people who are interested in having fun and who are not active in AA or other recovery programs, we hope that they will enjoy participating in My Recovery Network online and in our in person events.
